PENNE PASTA RECIPE (TOMATO / RED SAUCE PASTA STYLE)


“CREAMY CHEESY PENNE PASTA – EAT IT ONCE, YOU'LL REMEMBER IT AGAIN AND AGAIN!”

 INGREDIENTS:

Penne pasta – 1 cup

Water – for boiling the pasta

Salt – 1 tsp

Oil – 1 tsp

For the sauce:

Butter or oil – 1 tbsp

Garlic (garlic) – 3-4 chopped

Onion – 1 small (optional)

Tomato puree / ready-made pasta sauce – 1 cup

Chili flakes – 1 tsp

Oregano / mixed herbs – 1 tsp

Black pepper – 1 pinch

Salt – to taste

Cheese – grated (optional)


METHOD:  

Boiling the pasta:

Heat water in a pan.

Add salt and a little oil. 

Add the penne pasta and boil it for 8-10 minutes until it becomes soft.

Strain the water and set the pasta aside.


Making the Sauce:

Heat butter or oil in a pan.

Fry the garlic and onion until golden.

Add the tomato puree/pasta sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the salt, chili flakes, oregano, and black pepper and mix.

Mixing the Pasta:

Add the boiled pasta to the sauce.

Toss for 1-2 minutes until well coated.

Garnish with cheese and basil leaves if desired.


Serve it hot!

 IT'S USUALLY EATEN AS A LUNCH/DINNER MAIN COURSE OR SNACK—ESPECIALLY IN ITALIAN RESTAURANTS.
